I once again had the pleasure of going on the fantastic Break It Down Show today with my friends Pete Turner and Dr. Amber Brittain-Hale for another geopolitical discussion. On the livestream, we covered numerous topics that are have been in the international news, as well as some domestic economic talk. We started with the latter, lambasting Senator Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) blatant economic illiteracy, specifically her comments around a potential monopoly in the spices and hot sauce sectors (no, I’m not kidding). Next, we got into the meat of the discussion, which centered on Ukraine and the seeming Trump administration turn against supporting it. We talked over the most recent events, exploring the details of each, and how they fit into a broader picture of the conflict. We explain the potential rationale behind this new policy, how it may not be the best choice for America today, and what could happen next. From there, we discuss the future (and present) of warfare in space, how hard it is to navigate the public/private dimensions of that theater, and what we must do to secure American primacy in outer space for the foreseeable future.
