It’s deja vu all over again, as I was back on my friend Pete Turner’s Break It Down Show today to continue our discussion from yesterday. We were once again joined by Dr. Amber Brittain-Hale, as well as Brad Hutchings, to talk through a wide variety of issues relevant to the geopolitics of the moment. We started off with the use of AI by the US military, spurred on by the brouhaha with Anthropic and OpenAI just before the start of Operation Epic Fury last weekend. We then worked through some of the developments in that campaign, moved on to the critical role of America’s merchant marine and the need to secure key maritime chokepoints, and finished with a brief chat about the shifting nature of America’s alliances in an age of Great Power conflict.
